John Benedict

John Benedict has become an author at a very late time in his life.  Having had a career as an engineer turned Marketeer, he started at Honeywell as a sales engineer selling technical products.  He was transferred to 4 major cities as he rose from rookie salesman to a manager of 40 people.

John Benedict has always been involved in government activities, participating in caucuses, state conventions and writing on the subject. There was little of civics taught in school but once the 1960’s arrived he was gradually captured by the many items happening in government. The last 65 years has been a daily study in the revelation of America, the politicians, government and the voters. John Benedict has been educated way beyond government 101. Experience beats listening to teachers and professors every time.

 

Ideal America

This book identifies the many challenges that America faces.  America has major issues to correct that have festered for decades.  Not only do we have many problems but we have lost our appreciation for patriotism, freedom, fairness, and prosperity except for ourselves.  America has become a very selfish nation and one way to be elected is to use the selfishness to obtain votes.

We need to be aware not just of those immediate items that affect us but all the items that are bringing America down.  We must not ignore the huge problems such as debt, the military, health, inflation, Social Security, education and immigration.  Americans need to be thinking of our country instead of ourselves because as the country goes, so go we and very importantly so go our children and grandchildren.

This book not only identifies the problems but offers solutions.  America needs new ideas to restore our patriotism, freedom, fairness, and prosperity for everyone.  We also need solutions to our major problems.  Definition is the first step in solving a problem. The second step is for both sides of the political spectrum to join together in nonpartisanship to seek solutions.  People working together can accomplish amazing things.  The vast wants in our society have to be put aside recognizing that solutions will protect future generations not just every individual group.
