John Benedict

John Benedict has become an author at a very late time in his life.  Having had a career as an engineer turned Marketeer, he started at Honeywell as a sales engineer selling technical products.  He was transferred to 4 major cities as he rose from rookie salesman to a manager of 40 people.

John Benedict has always been involved in government activities, participating in caucuses, state conventions and writing on the subject. There was little of civics taught in school but once the 1960’s arrived he was gradually captured by the many items happening in government. The last 65 years has been a daily study in the revelation of America, the politicians, government and the voters. John Benedict has been educated way beyond government 101. Experience beats listening to teachers and professors every time.

 

What is a Democrat?

 

This book has been revised to add a second part.  The first part was written before the election of Nov. 5, 2024. 

This book represents 50 years of studying and experiencing America’s political life, experiencing major changes in the White House and the growth of many problems for America – most notably debt, education, immigration, health and foreign affairs. 

 

Part 1 focuses on the Democratic Party, what the Democratic presidents have done and provides insights to the November 5, 2024 election with Kamala Harris/Walz candidates for the Democrats. 

 

There is a noticeable connection and evolution with the 16 Democratic presidents from Andrew Jackson to the 20th and 21st century Democratic presidents in attitude and approach as described in the book.

 

The question of America sliding into socialism seems asked and answered as demonstrated by the actions of the Democrats in power. 

 

Part 2 focuses on the results of the election, inauguration, actions by the Republicans now in charge, reactions by the Democratic Party, and a new direction for America.  As I wrote in Ideal America, we have many problems and this new direction is tackling many of those problems.

 

The trials and impeachments against Trump that the Democrats have worked so hard and spent so much to accomplish is also included in part 2.  The tools used to weaponize the Democratic DOJ against Trump may be criminal and subject to indictments. 

 

Secondly, the legality of the auto-pen by the White House is questioned and may be another criminal act.
